You Are Priceless
Ethan Morales-Vierna
Good morning boys and girls. Happy Sabbath. Hope you guys are having a fantastic Sabbath. As they said, it is now time for children’s stories. So we’re going to jump right into our Bible.
Today’s Bible verse, we’re going to be taking a look at Isaiah 43, chapter 43, verse 4, where it says, you are precious and honored in my sight. And because of that, I love you.
Okay, so we can see here that God is talking to us, telling us that we are precious to him and that he loves us. So to illustrate that today, boys and girls, we’re going to illustrate that today with this. We have a $20 bill. Now, if someone in the street were to come up to you and hand you a $20 bill, I don’t think much of us would reject that, right? Because it’s valuable. We’re able to buy, we’re able to trade, we’re able to save it. We’re able to do a lot with it.
But what if the person right before handing it to you and if you guys can kind of see it’s fairly crisp. What if they just, you know, what if they just crumbled it up and gave it to you like that? Right? Or what if they crumbled it, unfolded it and then gave it to you, right? I mean, I don’t know about you, but I would still take it. Okay.
What if they were to tear it? I’m not going to tear this right now because it’s valuable. But. What if they were to tear it and they were to just give you the pieces? I think many of us would just come back home, tape it back together with clear tape, and it would all be good. That’s not deterring us, right? Well, what if they were to just throw it on the floor and step on it a bunch of times and then hand it to you? Again, I don’t think much of us would reject that.
And boys and girls, that’s how God is in, that’s how we are in God’s eyes. We’re so valuable that to him, it doesn’t matter where we’ve been. what we’ve done in the past or even how we feel about ourselves. I know many times in my life, including there’s things that I’ve done that I feel God hasn’t or God isn’t able to forgive me. But we’re going about that in the wrong way because just like we would accept this $20 bill all torn and tattered, God would still accept us in that same way. And so remember boys and girls, God loves you. No matter what you’ve done in your past, no matter what you’re currently going through, He loves you and He will always choose you every single time.
All right, let’s go ahead and close out with prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you so much for another day, for another Sabbath day to be able to come and worship you and see each other, Lord. Right now, God, I ask that you be with these children. May you nourish and strengthen their minds. May you point their families towards you so that they may ultimately grow in stature. with you at the center, Lord. Please be with the rest of service, Lord, and we love you and we ask all these things in your name. Amen.
All right, boys and girls, we’ll see you next time.
