The Blind Man

Good morning and happy Sabbath. Today’s story is about one of the many miracles that Jesus performed here on Earth. So one day Jesus was walking around the city with his disciples. And he came across a man who had been blind since birth. Now the disciples started talking and they started wondering, and they asked Jesus, had this man been blind because of his own sin or because of his parents sin? Jesus quickly replied, No, this man wasn’t born blind because of any sin. He was born blind, because through his life, the power of God can be shown. He then grabbed some dirt, spit in the dirt, and rubbed it up to make some mud. He placed the mud on the men’s eyes. He then told the men go wash your eyes in the pool of Siloam. So the man did exactly that. And once he rinsed his eyes, he could see! The man was so excited. When he went home, his neighbors were a little confused, because this man had been blind his whole life and all of a sudden, he can see. So the neighbors started questioning if this was even the same man. The man reassured him, everybody that it was him indeed. And he quickly told them the story about everything Jesus had done to heal him. The neighbors didn’t take too well to this story. And they quickly took them to the Pharisees, because that day was the Sabbath. And they didn’t believe that Jesus should be healing on the Sabbath. He was then brought before the Pharisees. And they asked him a lot of questions where Jesus was, what exactly happened? They wanted to make sure that he was blind since birth, because they themselves couldn’t believe it. They even brought in his parents for questioning. Surely, he said to them, Jesus had healed me. This made them even angrier, and they soon kicked him out of the synagogue. When Jesus heard that they had kicked him out of the synagogue, he went to the man. And he asked him, Do you believe in the son of man? The man answers, Who is he, sir, I want to believe in him. Then Jesus said, He is speaking to you. And so the man replied Lord, I believe, and he worshiped Jesus. Now see, there are going to be a lot of times where things conflict, but always know that Jesus is the answer, and you can always talk to him, and he will show you his path for you.
