Shine Your Light
Lilia Hernandez

Happy Sabbath, Downey family and Good morning boys and girls. You know, it’s been almost a month, since the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, I sure hope that you still have Jesus in your mind and in your heart. Let us pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You, Father God for this awesome Sabbath a day, the more we can come together to be united as a family, I know that you have a message for the boys and girls today. So please send your Holy Spirit to the minds in the hearts of all the children so that they can be ready to receive your message. In Jesus name, I pray.

So Boys and Girls, what message does God have for you today? Here I have a lamp, a flashlight, and a candle. What do these things have in common? You’re right, they all give light. But you know boys and girls, in order for them to give light, they all need something. The lamp needs a light bulb, and electricity. And then I can click and it gives me light. The flashlight needs a light bulb and batteries. And then I can click and it gives me light. The candle needs a match. And I can turn on my match, light my candle. And then it gives me light.

So all these things can give me light. But they all need something like boys and girls. What happens if my electricity goes out, and I click and there’s no light, my flashlight, my batteries go dead. And I click and there’s no light, my candle, a wind blows, and turns off my candle. And now there is no light. And I am left in the darkness. Do you know boys and girls, that there’s something that can give us eternal light that will never ever be able to be taken away from you. This is a very special light.

Let’s go to our Bible to the Gospel of John chapter eight, verse 12, to see what you and I need to have that special light that can never be taken away. Let’s read. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

Wow. All you need is Jesus pretty awesome of Jesus to give us his amazing light. Boys and girls. Jesus is your light. And if you accept Jesus, you never have to walk in darkness. Do you want to have the light of Jesus? All you need to do is repeat after me. I want the light of Jesus. I want to follow Jesus. Now, you will be filled with the light and will walk in the light of Jesus. So, Shine, shine, shine your light to the world. let others know that Jesus is your light and that he lives in your heart. Now, there will be bumps along the way problems and it may seem like your light is gone. But remember, the light of Jesus can never be taken away from you. Jesus will guide your words and your actions and all your thoughts. He will give you a heart of of love, so that you can light and give that light the light of Jesus to others and lead them to the arms of Jesus.

Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You Father God for this amazing lesson that you have given us about Jesus. Jesus is that shining light, that everlasting light that no one can ever take it away from us. Finally, God, please bless all the children and may they go out and shine their light to the world. Watch over their families, Lord, and keep us all safe. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Shine your light. See you next week. Bye.
