Good morning boys and girls happy Sabbath. Welcome back to Ethan’s storytelling corner, even though I’m not in a corner.
So let’s go ahead and jump right in to our children’s story today. And for that, we’re going to go into our Bible into Proverbs chapter three, verse five and six, where it says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding, seek His will in all you do. And he will show you which path to take.
Now we’re going to focus on the beginning of this verse boys and girls where it says trust in the Lord with all your heart. Now I know for us that’s kind of scary, how are we able to trust God when it’s a little hard to see him in person? Well, to illustrate that, boys and girls, we’re going to do a little experiment today. So I have in front of me a plastic bag with a ziploc and now you know, this water is pretty secure, it’s not going anywhere, that is not breaking. So if we were to poke a hole in it, that would be pretty bad, right? You wouldn’t want it to spill over. But that’s why we’re gonna we’re gonna poke it with a hole right now. I like poke it right now, we’ll see that. Boom, it’s still in tact.. The waters still in, and you can see that there’s a pencil in it. But that’s too simple. We need to trust right. And don’t do this at home, boys and girls, I don’t want to be liable for any damages.
But for the illustration today, I trust this process so much, I’m going to set up one of my electronics here in front of me, and I’m going to poke holes in the bag, right above my electronic. So if it breaks, it breaks, but I trust it so much. As you see boys and girls. As I begin to poke holes in the bag, we can see that not a drop comes out. And that my electronic here in the bottom is perfectly safe. Even if we juggle the bank like that.
The point of this illustration boys and girls is to show us that we can trust God, you we may not know what he has in store for us, we may not know what plans he has for us in the future, but to know that it’s always with our best intentions in mind, and to trust Him wherever He takes you.
Alright, let’s go ahead and close out with a word of prayer for today boys and girls. Do you Holy Father, Lord, thank you so much for another day of life another Happy Sabbath Lord, ask right now that you please be with these children. May you please guard their hearts guard their minds, and me give them a double dose of Your Holy Spirit Lord. Please also be with their parents, their aunts, their uncles, Grandma grandpa’s anyone, Lord who has contact with these children. May you exemplify your character through them, and may you draw them close to your heart. We ask all these things that Jesus Christ, amen.
