One Way to God

Good morning, boys and girls. Happy Sabbath. I hope you guys are having a good beginning of your weekend. Hope you guys have a good rest of the Sabbath and a good weekend.
Today’s children’s story, we’re going to be starting off with our Bible. So if you have your Bibles in front of you, go ahead and open up to Romans chapter 10 and we’re going to be reading verses 9 and 10 where it says, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
Alright, so in this Bible verse, boys and girls, we very plainly hear the Bible tell us that it is only through God and through Jesus that we are able to get salvation. But we’re human, we’re stubborn, we try to do it on our own.
So you know, back in the day, back, back, back in the day, there was a tower called the Tower of Babel and the purpose of that was in order to try and reach God, build a really tall tower. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out.
Years, many years millennia after that, we built this, what is this, a plane. So granted, you know, we didn’t build it to try and reach God, we built it to try and make travel a little bit easier, a little bit faster. But are we able to get to God in this? No, we’re not.
And so years, years after that, we started building something else. What do you guys think that was? It was big, it was loud, it gets you all the way to the moon. That was a rocket. Yes, exactly. So we have a little rocket here. Right? But unfortunately, that didn’t work. That only took us to the moon, to other planets. It doesn’t get us to God.
So boys and girls, the only way we can get to God is through the cross. We have to go to Jesus. We have to die to self in order to have Him fill us up, in order to become more like Him and to ultimately exemplify His character so we get to know God in return and get to heaven.
All right, boys and girls, so never forget that. Can you guys see that? Yeah, you can. Focus on your relationship with Jesus, which will get you closer to God, which will ultimately be the thing that saves you and gets you to heaven.
All right? Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you, God for another day of life. I ask that you please be with these boys and girls, Lord. May you nourish and strengthen their minds, Lord. May you be with their parents, their guardians, and their loved ones, Lord, so that they may turn their eyes towards their children and ultimately towards you, God. Be with our sins, Lord, forgive us of any sins, and we thank you once again for allowing us to come and worship you, Lord. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
