I Am The Way

Good morning boys and girls and Downey family, Happy Sabbath. Today’s story is going to be about being a follower. Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You Father God for the Sabbath day, we ask for your Holy Spirit to be with us. As we go through the story today, Lord, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
So boys and girls, we’re going to start off by playing a game of Simon Says, I know some of you have played this game. So let’s be good listeners to follow and do only what Simon Says. Simon says, Stand up. Simon says touch your head. Turn around. I hope you didn’t turn around boys and girls, Simon did not say to turn around. So listen carefully, and follow along. Simon says, sit down. Simon says Fold your hands. Simon says Look at me. Great job boys and girls of being a good follower and listening carefully to do exactly what Simon was saying.
So it looks like you’re ready to be a follower of Jesus Christ. So let’s go to our Bible. And let’s see what the book of John says. John 14, verse six says, Jesus says, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, but through me. So you see, boys and girls, it’s very easy. All we need to do is follow Jesus. Jesus says I am the Way the Truth and the Life. Are you ready? To follow his way? But wait, hold on, wait, wait, wait, wait. But in life, there are many roads? Do I take Road A, B, C or D? Which road is Jesus’ road? How do I know? It’s very simple. I’m glad you asked boys and girls. It’s very simple. All you need to do is look, look to the light. Find that light and follow Jesus. And if you can’t see the light boys and girls and look carefully and see if you can find his footsteps, or hear His voice. And his voice says, Come follow me. Come follow me. Today, and every day, I want you to remember boys and girls. I want you to walk with Jesus. Talk to Jesus, spend time with Jesus. And you will be able to see the light, you will be able to hear his footsteps and you will be able to hear his voice when he says I am the way.
Now following Jesus means boys and girls. That means that we need to be full of love. And I know you’ve just started school. I know that school sometimes is hard because there might be some boys and girls that are not very nice. But remember to hear the voice of Jesus, Jesus says, I am the way and so we must follow Jesus with love. Love your family. Love your friends, love your neighbors and love all your classmates and everyone. Even those boys and girls that sometimes are not nice. Remember, Jesus says, I am the way
Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You Father God for this awesome message where your son Jesus says, I am the way father made those words penetrate the hearts and the minds of the boys and girls so that everywhere they go, they can always hear that voice. Come follow me. I am the way watch over then Lord, protect them and guide them. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. All right, boys and girls, we’ll see you next time have a great Sabbath day and remember, Jesus says I am the way.
