God Gives Back What You Give
by Ethan Morales

Good morning boys and girls. Happy Sabbath. I hope you guys had a good week. And happy Sabbath to everyone. So let’s just jump straight into our children’s story.

So for today’s children’s story, we’re going to look at our Bibles. And we’re going to look at Luke chapter six, verse 38, where it says, Give and you will receive, your gift will return to you in full, the amount you give, will determine the amount you give back. Now, when I first read this, I thought of spiritual gifts. What does the Bible say about spiritual gifts? Well, it says, if we use them for the honor and glory of God, we will receive more. So to illustrate that today, I kind of wanted to go with the illustration of this bouncy ball right here. So if you guys have ever held a bouncy ball in your hand, it’s not too annoying, but you certainly can’t do much with your hand that you’re holding it in. Otherwise, you know, you drop it. And then you can stick in your pocket. Since you know, if you try sitting especially on your back pocket, if you try sitting on it, it’s gonna hurt. And maybe your front pocket won’t be as annoying, but still annoying, you can’t really fit stuff in there.

So what is the purpose of a bouncy ball, you kind of have to use it right? You can’t just hold on to it. So if I were to balance it like that, it comes back to, you know, that’s the purpose of a bouncy ball, you have to bounce it, you can’t just hold on to it. Otherwise, there’s no point in having it. And the kind of that’s similar to how we have our spiritual gifts boys and girls. When God gives us in this case of ball, he gives it to us with the intention of using it for him. And some of the spiritual gifts we can have are listening, praying leadership. I know some people sometimes have the spiritual gifts of cooking. I know we have a lot of people in our church that are great cooks. And so let’s use that boys and girls for the honor and glory of God. And if you don’t know how to use it, pray to Him. Just ask him to show you how you can use your spiritual gifts for him. All right. So remember boys and girls, when you get a spiritual gifts, just like this bouncy ball. Don’t just hold on to it. Go ahead and use it for the honor and glory of God.

Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you God so much for these beautiful boys and girls. Lord, I ask that you continue to protect their minds or protect their hearts and protect their bodies. Lord, may you be with their parents as well, me you exemplify your character through their parents that they may learn more about you with each day that passes Lord, Lord right now I ask that you please forgive us of our sins. And then we have a good restful Sabbath and a good upcoming week. Lord, we thank you for all our blessings. And we ask all these things, namely Jesus Christ, amen.

All right, boys and girls, happy Sabbath and see you next time.
