Good morning boys and girls Happy Sabbath. Welcome to Ethan’s storytelling corner.
So for today, sorry, as always, we’re gonna open up our handy dandy Bible to Ecclesiastes five, I’m sorry, Ecclesiastes four, verses nine and 10, where it says, two people are better off for one, for they can help each other succeed. If one false, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
So to illustrate that boys and girls, I have this cup right here, in this very heavy and expensive glass decoration. So to signify this will represent this as us, you know, when we’re out and about by ourselves, when something heavy comes along, and falls on us. Now, I’m not going to let this go because I don’t want it to break. But trust me, this glass decoration would evaporate, this cup crushed it.
So what we’ll do is we’ll, we’ll now get in the middle of a group, we’ll set up cups here. We’ll set up nine cups in total, and this to represent boys and girls. The verse didn’t explicitly say it, but it’s a good notion. A lot of people nowadays ask, you know, why do we go to church? What is the purpose of it? And essentially, this boys and girls is the reason why we got because it’s kind of like, not only is it a communal thing, you know, not only does it make God happy, but it’s also for us, it’s a social event where we come and gather, not just a social event, but we come together, worship God, and we’re able to lift each other up and learn something new, and continue our relationship with God. Now, we can see that we’ve set this up. And when I put the glass decoration on it, boom, we can see that it is being sustained on I don’t know if you can see it against my shirt… is a better view.
So boys and girls, remember, don’t ever forget about God. Keep going to church so that you guys may grow, not just spiritually, but physically and mentally as well.
Alright, let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you guys so much for another day of life, Lord, for bringing us here to another Sabbath. Right now Lord, I just ask that you continue to bless these children, Lord, may You guide their hearts and minds, be with their parents, may they guide them and protect them as well and give their families a double dose of your Holy Spirit. Lord, thank you again, God for letting us come and worship you freely. And we ask that you continue to bless us and forgive us of our sins. Lord, we ask all these things never Jesus Christ, amen. I boys and girls
Happy Sabbath and we will see you next time.
