It Helps You See

Good morning boys and girls Happy Sabbath. I hope you’re as excited as I am.
For today’s children’s story, we see things in many ways can we use our vision to see where we’re going to read a book, to do just different things and be able to see them. But what if our vision needs a little bit of help, right, sometimes we’ll get some glasses, right, we get glasses, that helps us see better. But then this revision gets a little bit worse. And that doesn’t work, we ended up getting other glasses with a different prescription to be able to see better. Sometimes, if that doesn’t work anymore, we’ll get other glasses until you know, the doctor checks our size and makes sure that we can see good, sometimes we’re reading a book that has tiny, tiny little letters, or maybe you even found an insect, a little and a little spider, and you want to see it better, and you grab what? A magnifying glass right? You’re over you’re looking at it and trying to see how many legs it has and where the little eyes are. But what if you wanted to see something smaller, maybe a little bit of water from the ocean, then you get what you get the microscope, right, and you put the sample on here, and you look in there. And maybe sometimes you could see little organisms, little animals or little life creatures living in that drop of water.
But what if you don’t want to see small stuff anymore, you want to see things that are far away that are big, like the sky like the stars, what if you want to see that? Well, then maybe you need to use a telescope, right? So you see through the telescope, and you check to see the stars at night, especially at night when it is very clear and the sky is beautiful and shiny, you can see a lot of them. And depending on where you go, the further out you go from the city, usually the skies are clear. Or maybe you could go like to the Griffith Observatory, they have a gigantic telescope, the you could see so many beautiful stars out there, galaxies, or whatever they have it pointing at over there.
But what if, when I say how we look at things, we’re not just talking about our vision, just like we have to move from one pair of glasses, to a different pair of glasses, or maybe you know, to the magnifying glass, like when grandma and grandpa are trying to read a book or their Bible and you see that they pull this out to look at it because your glasses are not near them. You know, as much as we need to have something to help us look at life to. And you know what that is? That is our Bible. That’s God’s word. When you’re little, obviously you can’t read to your parents read to you. And they might have a little Bible like this for you, you know, different one with pictures, and they tell you the stories. And as their little, you just love to see the colors on that right as you’re growing up. And then you get a little bit older. And as you get a little bit older, the stories get a little bit better. Now there’s words when there’s different pictures in there, right? And you get to understand your little stories a little bit better. And then you get older. And as you get older again, now you get your own Bible that you can read, where you can read all the stories from the Bible, the different people, the different things that happened before and after Jesus’s life, right. And again, you keep getting Bibles that help you see life, because our Bible. This is when you’re older. Of course, there’s not a lot of pictures, there’s more of printing, and a lot more of the stories, just the letters, right. But that’s just because as we’re growing, we’re getting something that helps us see things better to understand better in our minds, you know. So that’s the same way just like we have to move from glasses to glasses, or maybe use a magnifying glass and maybe use a telescope [*microscope] to understand something better. Or maybe, I mean, (sorry, the microscope) or the telescope to see something that we can’t understand, you know, something that we can’t see with just with our eyes because it’s so far away.
That is what the Bible does for us. It helps our minds understand what God is telling us. He tells us stories he tells us history and his Bible. And those are things that We need to learn any helps us learn them by sharing them in his amazing word. I need you to remember that just as we need to see with our eyes, so we can understand. We also need to read our Bibles, read our stories. And if you have questions, ask your mom and dad, ask your Sabbath school teacher, ask your pastor, as somebody that knows about the Bible, so that they can help you better see and understand what God is trying to tell you. So that we can be better people at all times.
When you use your glasses, when you use all these other type of instruments that we are given to see better to see better the tiny things and the big things, right? Those help us understand this world. But our Bibles will help us understand each other and understand the plan that God has for us and how much he loves us. Please have a great week this week. I want you to keep that in mind. Keep reading your stories in your Bible. Keep asking questions. And always keep that open mind so you could understand God better and ask him because he’ll help you understand His Word as well.
Let’s bow our heads and let’s pray. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for the beautiful day you’ve given us for these beautiful children. We pray, Lord, that you be with them that you hold their hand through this week through the rest of their lives or that you open their eyes and you open their minds and their hearts to you, Lord, to understand you better, to know you better and to know the beautiful promises you have for them. Thank you, Lord for all you do for us. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
